Nancy Sabattini
Artist-designer is a longtime resident of Sarasota, Florida. She has a daughter
Ashley, a son-in- aw John, and is a proud grandmother of twins, Chase and
Rhys.
Nancy has always been interested in design, balance and movement. In the late
70’s she began designing and teaching dance/exercise programs for Manatee
Junior College’s Center of Human Development and Community Service
Programs. The mid 80’s brought her to the opening of a studio of exercise and
dance movement, Shin Studio. (Shin coming from Japanese flower arranging,
meaning the first piece put into the arrangement that designs the color, flow and
balance.) In the late 80's to mid 90's Nancy worked with several educational
programs involving children, adults and special needs children.
Nancy views her natural interest in structure and design as a gift given to her by
her mother. Visualizing the objects in their completed form, she then goes to
work to give them life. She is constantly interpreting the possibilities of her next
find – to be created into a unique one of a kind piece.
